New Design. Same Ride - More Fun!

A fresh look was long overdue - and we took the opportunity to improve a few things along the way!

Our app developement team has been working hard for months, designing, testing, and coding. Now, the time has come: In April, the new nextbike app is launching - with a modern look, improved usability, and exciting new features.

When is the update coming?

Starting April, 2025, the nextbike app will be updated gradually on your smartphones. Some will get it sooner, others a few days later. If you've disabled automatic updates, you can manually update the app as soon as it's available. No worries - the old app will still work for now... but we're sure you won't want to miss out!

What's new?

New map view:

• Stations appear as small, colored dots.
• Zooming in reveals the number of available bikes.
• Flex zones only become visible when tapping a bike.
• Return streets are white, and return zones are now yellow instead of pink.
• No-parking areas are marked in red.

Prices at a glance:

• Wondering what nextbike costs in another city? Just tap a bike to see the base tariff!

Optimized wallet:

• You can also search for other tariff options easily.
• Payment methods and bookings are now even easier to manage.

In-app news - stay informed!

• Didn't know we had a news section? You see!
• The new app will actively notify you about important updates and promotions.

Easier reporting & support:

• Can't find a bike or found a defect? Report it directly outside the support area!
• Quickly submit an issue to help our service team.
• The new "How it Works" tour in the support section helps new users get started.

New login system – no more forgotten PINs!

• Login and registration now use the same input field - we'll recognize if you already have an account.
• A new PIN is generated every time you log in - no need to remember old codes!
